History

Pelican Point Awaits...

Developed by Douglas Diez in 1997, Pelican Point is a Private golf club providing golfers with Championship golf and one of the South's premiere golf facilities. Located just off the banks of the Mississippi River in Gonzales, Louisiana and behind the historic Houmas House Plantation, Pelican Point combines British style golf with a Louisiana flair.

The golf course is surrounded by upscale residential homes and located in Ascension Parish which is one of the fastest growing Parishes in Louisiana.

Pelican Point Golf Club is just a short drive from both Baton Rouge and New Orleans thus providing locals, visitors, convention attendees, and businesses easy access via Interstate 10.

Set in a peaceful surrounding, Pelican Point Golf Club was selected by Golf Digest as one of the Best Places to Play.  The "Links" championship 18-hole golf course winds through the community, offering generous fairways, large greens and four sets of tees which makes the course challenging for all golfers.

Our "The Lakes" 9-hole course offers beginning golfers, as well as those seasoned golfers, a wonderful course to enjoy a day outside.  The golf compliments the area's natural surrounding, while providing golfers of all levels a challenge that is different with every round of play.

Pelican Point Golf Club offers multiple, well-maintained tennis courts and welcomes all levels of skill to enjoy the complete tennis experience.  If a day by the pool is a little bit more of your idea of leisure, our Junior Olympic swimming pool and relaxing wading pool, are the place to be for the summer.
